Biographies

Jo Burns

Jo Burns recently relocated to Bluffton in April of 2004 from Orlando, FL. where she retired from 9 years of service with Crawford & Company as Administrative Supervisor for The Risk Management Department. She began employment with Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. in June of 2004 and is currently the Receptionist at our Bluffton Office as well as responsible for opening all new contracts.

Pam Carr

Pam was born in Fairbanks, Alaska and relocated to Hilton Head Island in 1994. She received a Paralegal degree from Dorsey Business School in Michigan. Pam has been working as a Real Estate Paralegal for over 20 years and has been with Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. for over five years. She is also a member of the Hilton Head Legal Staff of Professionals.

Stephanie Degman

Stephanie was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey and relocated to Hilton Head Island in 1999. She received her Bachelor's degree in Business from Marymount University and her Masters Degree in Human Resources from Catholic University. Stephanie has worked with Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. since 2004. Prior to working for Laurich & Wiseman, she was an accountant for 15 years.
Stephanie is a Libra and enjoys long walks on the beach and candlelit dinners.

Jeanette Delaney

Jeanette was born and raised in Syracuse, New York. She moved to Hilton Head Island in 1987 and worked with a litigation law firm as an Office Manager/Legal Secretary, until 2003. She joined Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. in 2004.

Jeanette has various duties, including post closing work, preparation of title policies and responsibility of the file room.

Elizabeth W. "Bea" Fuller

Bea, a resident of Bluffton, South Carolina, was raised by a Navy Family and traveled all over the United States as a child. She is a graduate of Desert Sun School in Idyllwild, California and then took a 2-year degree from Colorado Woman's College and graduated from the University of South Carolina. She has been with Laurich & Wiseman since 1995 having worked with several other law firms on the Island before joining the office.

Bea loves to travel to this day and wants to make a trip to Egypt and also the Greek Isles.

Amy Groeber

Amy is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a Bachelor's degree. She has been a resident of Hilton Head Island for nine years, and recently joined Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. in March of 2005.

Kiera Harshaw

Kiera joined our firm in June, 2006.  She has lived on Hilton Head Island since 1989, moving here from Orlando, Florida.  She is experienced in title insurance and post closing duties.  Kiera has a young son, Hunter, and she and Hunter reside with his father, Erin, who is a Beaufort County Deputy

Jacqueline Jackson

Jacqui recently joined Laurich & Wiseman in September of 2005. She was born in Boston and attended Johnson & Wales college In Rhode Island. She has lived on Hilton Head since 1990. Her pride & joy is her 6 year old little girl, Marcella.

Paula Kilgore

Paula was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She has lived in the area since starting the practice of law in 1998. Education: Florida State University (B.S. in Real Estate, 1995), University of South Carolina School of Law (J.D. 1998). Currently a Member of the South Carolina Bar, American Bar Association, and Beaufort County Bar Association.

Eugene (Dean) Laurich

Eugene was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, July 24, 1953. He was admitted to bar in 1978 in South Carolina. Education: University of Notre Dame (B.A. 1975); University of South Carolina (J.D. 1978). Member: South Carolina Bar, Hilton Head Island and Beaufort County Bar Associations.

Practice Areas: Real Estate, Foreclosures, Land Development, Corporate Law.

Justine Menendez

Justine attended Central Florida Community College for one year for American Institute of Banking. She was a head teller for Windward Community Credit Union for five years before joining Laurich & Wiseman as a Post Closer. She was born in Michigan and lived most of her life in Central Florida. She is married with one daughter.

Erin Otten

Erin, a resident of Bluffton, South Carolina was raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. She is a 1976 graduate of Greensburg-Salem Senior High School. She has been with Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. since 1993. Immediately prior to joining the firm, she was a freelance paralegal working for local attorneys out of her home while raising her first child. Prior to freelancing her previous employers consisted of Edward M. Bullard, Esquire, Hughes & Wieters, P.A. and Hilton Head Plantation.

Erin is a graduate of Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. She has also acquired two Paralegal Certifications from the Technical College of the Low Country in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.

Betty Parks

Betty, a native of South Carolina has lived in the Hilton Head and Bluffton area since 1974. She started with Eugene Laurich in 1981 as a real estate paralegal and continues with Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. as a senior paralegal and office manager. She is a member of the Hilton Head Legal Staff Professionals and was awarded the 2002 Title Professional of the Year by Stewart Title Guaranty Company. She is experienced in every aspect of real estate closings and the mechanisms or a busy law firm. Still loves her job after all these years!

Joan Rider

Joan was born on Long Island and raised in upstate New York. She moved to Hilton Head in 1999 and went to work for a property management company working in the accounting department as a time-share owner advocate. She joined Laurich and Wiseman in August of 2005.

Tracy Smith

Tracy was born in Flint, Michigan. She relocated to Bluffton, South Carolina in 2002 and has been a legal assistant for three years. Prior to working for Laurich & Wiseman, P.A., Tracy was a Pre-School teacher in Walled Lake, Michigan.

Jessica Sutherland

Jessica, a resident of Bluffton, SC, was raised in Birmingham, AL and is a 1999 graduate of Beaufort High. She has been with Laurich & Wiseman, P.A. since 2001.
Jessica is a post closer to Betty Parks.

Leslee F. Thomas
In Memoriam

Leslee passed away in the summer of 2005. All are thankful for the time we enjoyed with her. She is missed.

Sheila D. Tucker

We were happy to welcome Sheila back as a real estate paralegal in 2006.  Sheila's real estate experience includes mortgage lending, banking, and real estate closings.  She has six years of experience in the real estate field.  Sheila lives in Bluffton.

Coulleen Wise

A Pinckney Island native, Coulleen has lived in Southern California, Northern New Jersey, and has been back in the Low Country since 1983. Coulleen and her husband of 15 years, Chuck, have two beautiful daughters. She has worked in the legal field since 1999 after being in banking for eleven years.

Charles H. Wiseman

Born in Freemont, Nebraska, August 22, 1972; admitted to bar, 2000, South Carolina; 2001 Nebraska. Education: Miami University (B.A. 1995); Creighton University (J.D. 1999). Recipient: CALI Excellence for the Future Award, Trial Practice Member, Domestic Moot Court Board, 1999. Member: Hilton Head Island and American Bar Associations; South Carolina; Nebraska State Bar Association.

Practice Areas: Real Estate, Property Law, Business Organization, and Collections.

Lisa M. Zajack

Lisa recently joined the law firm as a real estate paralegal.  Lisa has six years of experience in closing real estate transactions locally and with law firms in Charleston, South Carolina.  Lisa is a graduate of Ohio State University and lives on Hilton Head Island.
